WATCH: Drew Brees passes Peyton Manning’s NFL yardage record with 62-yard TD pass

History was made in New Orleans on Monday night.
Late in the second quarter, Saints QB Drew Brees not only passed Brett Favre for No. 2 on the NFL’s all-time passing yardage list — he also passed Peyton Manning for No. 1 all-time.
As you can see below, Brees did it in fitting fashion, throwing a 62-yard touchdown pass to etch his name in the history books:

Manning, a former Tennessee star, took the record from Favre a few years ago. Now, it belongs to Brees. Brees’s wife, children and family were there to celebrate with him, and his teammates mobbed him following the record-setting throw.
Now, that ball will be moving to Canton to the Pro Football Hall of Fame, while Brees and the Saints go back to work against the Washington Redskins.
After the game, though, he’ll probably be in more of a mood to reflect on his historic night.
