WATCH: Go inside college football’s best new tradition at Iowa (try not to cry)

The Iowa Hawkeyes have created one of the best new traditions in college football.
The university recently finished construction of the Stead Family Children’s hospital which was built next to and overlooking Kinnick Stadium. The hospital is situated so that children and families within the hospital can watch the Hawkeyes on game days during the fall.
The new tradition began this season and involves all the fans in the stadium turning to wave at the children at the end of the first quarter. It is one of the most heartfelt ideas and is certainly an emotional experience for the fans and families.
