WATCH: OU QB Baker Mayfield gives Kansas an inappropriate gesture after TD
By Keith Farner
Published:
Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is a contender for the Heisman Trophy, but the Heisman pose wasn’t how he celebrated one touchdown against Kansas.
In an apparently expletive-laced shouting video after a touchdown that put the Sooners up 27-3, Mayfield directed his ire, including a gesture, to the Kansas sideline.
That followed his apparent telling to a Kansas fan to “stick to basketball.”
Mayfield had plenty of reason to talk in the lopsided game after he was 19-for-27 passing for 242 yards through three quarters with three touchdowns. But we’re not sure this was the best way to handle the developments.
