WR Jaylen Smith reveals the surprising way Louisville players found out about Bobby Petrino’s firing

Published:
The Louisville Cardinals fired coach Bobby Petrino on Sunday morning, ending his second stint with the team.
Media members started reporting the firing just before noon, but it appears no one told the Louisville players what was going on.
According to star WR Jaylen Smith, the team was not informed of Petrino’s firing before media members started reporting it:
Wow.

Nope.

This seems to be a more and more common occurrence in the age of social media, but you’d think schools would be able to get ahead of the news somehow.
Smith clearly isn’t thrilled that players weren’t told, so we’ll see how that affects team morale in the final two games of the season.
