Keir Thomas didn’t need long in the NCAA transfer portal to find his new home.
After entering the portal earlier this week, Thomas announced Saturday that he is heading to Tallahassee, Florida to continue his college football career at FSU. He shared the news on his Twitter account.
A class of 2016 signee out of Miami Central in Florida, Thomas will be taking advantage of the NCAA’s “COVID free year” to extend his career to a sixth season. Thomas used his redshirt in 2019 after suffering an ankle injury in fall camp that resulted in an infection and kept him sidelined for all of two games. During his Gamecocks career, he played in 47 games, recording 142 total tackles, including 18.5 TFL and 8.5 sacks, as well as 2 forced fumbles.
