The bye week did not treat South Carolina very well if the performance into the second half against Texas A&M was any indication.
The Gamecock faithful began to boo the hometown team at Williams-Brice Stadium on Saturday, and after Texas A&M scored its fourth touchdown, chants of “fire Muschamp” came down. Boos returned when the Gamecocks allowed another touchdown to trail 34-0. The Gamecocks were behind in yards late in the third quarter 375 to 102. QB Collin Hill was 8-for-21 passing for 66 yards and two interceptions.
All that came after a 52-24 loss at LSU and fans let out their frustrations, and only mustered a cheer when Texas A&M banged an extra point attempt off of an upright.
A “Fire Muschamp” chant from the upper-deck fans here at South Carolina after Texas AM opens second-half with a TD drive. Fans finally get a chance to cheer as A&M misses the PAT to lead 27-0 with 11:04 left in the third.

This is going down as the worst Carolina performance of the Will Muschamp era. In year five. @abc_columbia
