GG Jackson, the former No. 1 overall prospect in the Class of 2022 and a standout South Carolina guard, made his NBA debut Monday with the Memphis Grizzlies Summer League.
Jackson’s college career was probably not what he expected. He was easily the most talented player South Carolina had, but the Gamecocks still finished in the bottom tier of the SEC with a 11-21 final record.
Jackson was taken in the 2nd round, 45th overall in the 2023 NBA Draft and made a solid impression in his Summer League debut. He finished Memphis’ win over the 76ers with 10 points on 4-8 shooting in just 17 minutes on the court.
