Following the firing of Will Muschamp at South Carolina, most attention turned to Liberty head coach Hugh Freeze for the vacancy.

Freeze has Liberty firing on all cylinders at 8-0 and ranked in the top 25, but would he event entertain the South Carolina job?

College GameDay’s Gene Wojciechowski bluntly asked Freeze Saturday morning on the show.

“I won’t even entertain things of that nature at this point,” Freeze said. “I’m at total peace with staying here, as long as they’ll have me.”

Freeze signed an extension at Liberty recently after the coaching speculation started.

“There’s always that itch. Like man, I want to prove it, I want to go do it and I want to do it in that biggest arena that I can,” Freeze said. “So, yeah, I’m made that way.”
