South Carolina pulled off a huge upset win at Clemson on Saturday, winning 31-30 in the regular season finale for each team.

With the victory, the Gamecocks ended a 7-game losing streak to their in-state rivals and also snapped the Tigers’ 4-game home winning streak.

Additionally, they ended a streak of 68 consecutive games that Clemson had won when leading at halftime.

Spencer Rattler passed for 360 yards and 2 TDs in the South Carolina win. But in many ways, it was “Beamer Ball” that propelled the Gamecocks to victory, as the defense and special teams will outstanding.

The defense held DJ Uiagalelei to 8-for-29 passing for just 99 yards and South Carolina punter Kai Kroeger averaged 54 yards per punt on 7 attempts, 5 of which were downed inside the 20.

Finally, the Gamecocks special teams helped seal the win by forcing a Clemson fumble on a punt return with just over 2 minutes to play.

It was a huge win for the Gamecocks, who close their season by beating CFP contenders Tennessee and Clemson, which had college football fans on social media buzzing:
