Social media roasts Will Muschamp for South Carolina’s loss to Tennessee

Will Muschamp has long been linked to the “hot seat.” After falling to North Carolina to open the 2019 season, there was so much talk of getting rid of the head coach that athletic director Ray Tanner had to answer questions about Muschamp’s status and his contract buyout.
Muschamp’s Gamecocks finished 4-8 in 2019. They opened the 2020 season against a ranked Tennessee team on Saturday. South Carolina was the betting underdog by roughly 3.5 points, but ESPN’s Football Power Index actually gave the Gamecocks a favorable probability of winning outright.
The final score ended up being right on target with the odds. Tennessee escaped South Carolina with a 31-27 victory.
Late in the game, Muschamp was widely criticized for a decision to go for a field goal down seven points:

Did Muschamp just really kick a FG down 7 with 3 minutes left? He should be fired just for that decision.

Is, is, is Will Muschamp coaching to cover the spread?

After the loss, fans are venting. It’s safe to say that patience is wearing thin after more of the same in Year 5:
What a Will Muschamp way to lose.

Good news is everyone gets to go to a Bowl this year! After they beat a Georgia Tech type they’ll extend Muschamp and the circle of life will continue

Y'all I'm starting to think maybe Muschamp isn't gonna be the one to elevate the gamecock program
