The injuries started to pile up for South Carolina in the season opener on Saturday. Three different players came down with injuries for the Gamecocks.

The majority of the injuries came to players on the defensive side of the ball. Mohamed Kaba and Nick Emmanwori dealt with injuries in the first half.

Another came after a run from Dakereon Joyner. Cason Henry was rolled up on and limped off the field.

Kaba suffered an ACL injury last season, so fans know how much this season means to him. Kaba seemed emotional on the sidelines and understandably so after what happened in 2022.

Emmanwori suffered an apparent hamstring injury and was trying to work it out on the sideline. Kaba seemed to grabbing his left leg as he left the field of play.

There is no confirmation as to the exact injury that Henry suffered.

College football is a dangerous game. South Carolina will be hoping the injuries to these players are not too serious.
