South Carolina scored a win on Saturday just hours before kicking off against No. 12 Ole Miss.
Rock Hill (S.C) High wide receiver Malik Clark announced his verbal commitment to the Gamecocks Saturday afternoon. The 6-foot-3, 183-pound pass-catcher chose Shane Beamer’s squad over North Carolina. Clark had previously been committed to Florida State since July, but reopened his recruitment earlier this month.
South Carolina was a finalist for his pledge prior to that July commitment, and even after initially missing out, Beamer and Co. stayed in the race and closed the gap.
