South Carolina to the CFP? Fans react following clutch win at Palmetto Bowl

The question would get you laughed out of the room a few weeks ago, but it needs to be asked once again: Is South Carolina a College Football Playoff team?

The Gamecocks downed Clemson at Death Valley Saturday, 17-14 behind an insane comeback led by QB LaNorris Sellers. The Standout QB rushed for a pair of touchdowns to lift his team over the rival Tigers at the Palmetto Bowl.

Now, South Carolina has 3 losses on the season, but the Gamecocks have also won 6 straight games – 3 of which came against ranked opponents. Not to mention their losses are to LSU, Alabama and Ole Miss.

There will be the argument that head-to-head has to matter here, but the eye test so obviously favors the Gamecocks right now. Plenty of others agree, while others don’t. It’ll be up to the CFP committee, folks – South Carolina is going to have to sweat this one out.
