On Saturday prior to South Carolina’s kickoff against Tennessee, a video outtake of Will Muschamp pumping up the Williams-Brice Stadium crowd with an f-bomb was leaked.
The video quickly caught traction and ultimately went viral on social media.
“It’s time for Carolina football, so get the f@#$% out of your seats. Spurs up,” Muschamp said smiling in the outtake.
South Carolina quickly sent out an explanation saying the video was leaked to the media. The clip was filmed 2 years ago as a joke and was never intended to be made public. The university wasn’t sure how it was leaked.
Muschamp was asked about it during his Tuesday media availability, and he apologized for the incident.
“I apologize to anyone who was offended,” Muschamp said.
The South Carolina head coach said that his mother got on him for the language.
Tennessee beat South Carolina Saturday night 31-27, and it was a disappointing start to the season. If anyone other than Vanderbilt’s Derek Mason is sitting on the hot seat, it’s Muschamp.
Following the loss, fans shared their frustration on social media regarding the head coach.
The Gamecocks return to action Saturday against the Florida Gators at 12:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.
Does Will Muschamp hate anyone more than Phil Kornblut?
