Will Muschamp gives final injury update on QB Jake Bentley before Missouri game
As South Carolina (2-2, 1-2 SEC) tries to bounce back from a double-digit loss to Kentucky last week, Gamecock fans are hoping that QB Jake Bentley will be healthy as they gear up for a home game against Missouri (3-1, 0-1 SEC). Bentley suffered a knee injury in the loss to UK and has been working to return to action.
Thursday night, South Carolina coach Will Muschamp gave one last public update on Jake Bentley’s status, saying the junior quarterback is a “game-time decision” for Saturday on his weekly radio show.
If Bentley is unable to play on Saturday, backup quarterback Michael Scarnecchia will start for the Gamecocks. The redshirt senior has thrown for 89 yards and a touchdown so far in 2018. Missouri does not have a top tier defense in the SEC, but South Carolina needs this win after a rough start to the 2018 conference slate.
Will Muschamp on his call-in show: Jake Bentley has practiced and will be a game-time decision as far as how much he plays Saturday. Jacob August (concussion) is out for Saturday.

Muschamp: Scarnecchia got most of the reps with the first team in Bentley's absence. Dakereon Joyner got a few as well. Again says Bentley's playing time will be a game-time decision.
