Zeb Noland has quickly become a legend in South Carolina. The former graduate assistant for the Gamecocks famously turned in his clipboard for a helmet and started the first handful of games for South Carolina while Luke Doty was injured.
Well, on Saturday night in Columbia, Doty was having a bad game. Two costly interceptions had the Gamecocks trailing 20-14 late in the fourth quarter.
Enter Noland. The backup came in and ran the 2-minute offense to perfection.
The Gamecocks actually took the lead with this TD pass from Noland to Xavier Legette:

Then, the defense held and the Gamecocks escaped with the 21-20 victory. It was a wild win for the Gamecocks, and a special moment for Noland.
