The Coalition for Fantasy Sports, a group dedicated to providing safeguards for daily fantasy sports players and removing barriers to fantasy games, today welcomed a fifth member into the fold.
The Coalition announced Splash Sports as its latest member, joining Betr, Dabble, PrizePicks, and Underdog Sports.
“Fantasy sports continues to evolve, and with the addition of industry leaders like Splash Sports, our coalition is stronger than ever,” said Coalition Executive Director JT Foley. “Together, we will continue to advocate for smart policies that allow fantasy sports to thrive while prioritizing consumer protection and innovation.”
Splash Sports Joins DFS Coalition
Joel Milton, co-founder and CEO of Splash Sports, noted the company is excited to join the coalition and have its voice be heard in the DFS industry.
“Splash Sports is excited to join forces with the Coalition for Fantasy Sports, an organization that shares our passion for responsible and innovative fantasy sports gaming. Together, we will work to protect and grow the fantasy sports industry, ensuring that consumers have access to a safe, enjoyable, and innovative experience,” he said.
Splash Sports, along with RunYourPool and OfficeFootballPool, is owned by Certamen Ventures, Inc. Together, the three platforms have over two million active users and offer numerous fantasy sports and skill game formats.
Certamen Ventures is headquartered in Denver and is backed by leading venture capital firms Accomplice, Boston Seed Capital, Acies Investments, Dream Ventures, Velvet Sea Ventures, and other investors in the gaming space.
Unified Voice for DFS Companies
By joining the Coalition for Fantasy Sports, Splash Sports will be able to have a voice with the other leading DFS companies on legislative battles, market expansion, and responsible gaming efforts.
It will also have access to the coalition’s recently introduced responsible gaming measure, idPair. The RG measure, which was debuted last October, allows users to simultaneously self-exclude themselves across all platforms, regardless of their location.
IdPair’s advanced data anonymization ensures 100% privacy, safeguarding self-excluded users’ sensitive data, according to the announcement. The company is able to enhance consumer protection through research and the creation of innovative technology. Its products include the National Voluntary Self-Exclusion Program and a single-customer view platform to identify and reduce high-risk consumer behaviors by combining anonymized transactional data across multiple operators.
