Jared Casey is capitalizing on his recent success at Kansas, and has converted it into a new commercial for Applebee’s.

Casey, a walk-on tight end for the Jayhawks caught a game-winning two-point conversion in the Jayhawks’ 57-56 overtime victory over Texas on Saturday. The restaurant released the ad Thursday afternoon after it was filmed in Lawrence on Tuesday, The Kansas City Star reported.

Casey ends the commercial with a reference to his game-winning play against Texas. “Hey, you always gotta go for 2,” Casey says, before winking at the camera.

His compensation for the job was $800 in cash and $1,000 in Applebee’s gift cards, the Star reported. He said he planned to take his KU teammates to the restaurant soon to use up some of his comps.
