Mike Norvell and the Florida State Seminoles are coming off a 42-16 loss at SMU to drop to 1-4 on the season. The play of quarterback DJ Uiagalelei has been the talk for most of the season, as the former Clemson star hasn’t played close to his expected level.

During his weekly press conference on Monday, Norvell talked about what the Seminoles are planning to do at that position this weekend.

“We’re gonna evaluate it through week and see where it goes from there,” Norvell said.

With the struggles of Uiagalelei, there have been many calls from fans to sit him and bring in Brock Glenn to get the start. They are currently listed as co-starters, but Glenn is a freshman who could be able to come in and develop for the next couple of years. Glenn did make an appearance against SMU, but he was 0-4 on his pass attempts.

This feels like it will be a decision that Norvell and his staff keeps to themselves until as close to kickoff as possible. Florida State is looking for anything positive to try and turn around the season and at least give some optimism heading into next season.

The Seminoles host Clemson on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET from Doak Campbell Stadium and the game will be on ESPN.
