College Station comeback: Johnny Manziel will throw at Texas A&M Pro Day
The comeback SZN marches on for Johnny Manziel with Texas A&M now willing to help out the Aggie legend.
After throwing for the draft hopefuls at the University of San Diego’s Pro Day last week, a workout which 13 NFL teams sent a representative, Jimbo Fisher indicated he would welcome Manziel returning to College Station to throw for Texas A&M’s Pro Day event. Bruce Feldman of Sports Illustrated was the first to report the news that Manziel will do just that.
Texas A&M has since confirmed the news of Manziel’s participation in the event.
This could prove to be the Heisman Trophy winner’s big break, as every NFL franchise is expected to have a representative in attendance in College Station to see Texas A&M’s prospects. While Manziel might have played for Kevin Sumlin, he could owe the fate of his NFL comeback to Fisher if he impresses during the Tuesday Pro Day event.
Manziel has not played in the NFL since the 2015 season.
