ESPN’s FPI is back with more predictions for the week ahead in Week 10! Texas A&M at South Carolina is one of the biggest SEC games in the upcoming weekend with the Aggies are currently undefeated in conference play and atop the SEC standings.
This is the type of game that could play a huge role in which teams go to the SEC Championship, so of course the ESPN FPI is making a prediction on the game. The FPI is giving the Aggies a 54% chance to win this game which means the FPI gives the Gamecocks a realistic chance to win this game at 46%.
The SEC rivals will collide in a 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff from Williams-Brice Stadium with the game aired on ABC.
The Aggies found themselves down 17-7 at the half against LSU but made a move at the quarterback position that completely changed game. Marcel Reed was 2-for-2 70 yards, but it was on the ground where he made his presence truly felt. He rushed the ball 9 times for 62 yards and scoring 3 touchdowns.
While it is unknown who will be the guy moving forward, South Carolina can’t make the same mistake apparently that LSU did and has to prepare for both quarterbacks.
South Carolina was off this weekend, but looked dominant last week as the Gamecocks beat Oklahoma 35-9 on the road. The Gamecocks are currently 4-3 on the year but were very close to being 6-1. They lost to LSU 36-33 and also lost to Alabama 27-25.
In the win in Norman, the defense was dominant. The unit scored 2 touchdowns in the first half, including a 67-yard interception by Nick Emmanwori.
