Any time you can bring a 4-time Pro Bowler in as a member of your coaching staff, it’s an opportunity you have to take seriously.
On Monday afternoon, former NFL star DB Antonio Cromartie tweeted that he had joined Texas A&M’s coaching staff.
What his role is on Jimbo Fisher’s staff is unclear at the moment, but here’s the tweet the longtime NFL standout sent out:
Coach Cro is in the building. I would like to Thank Coach Fisher and @AggieFootball for allowing me to join their Staff. It’s go time. Gig’em??.

Cromartie played for the San Diego Chargers, New York Jets, Indianapolis Colts and Arizona Cardinals during his career. He led the NFL in interceptions in 2007 while with the Chargers.
Cromartie was a first-round pick out of Florida State in 2006. Interestingly, he left FSU a year before Jimbo Fisher joined the Seminoles’ staff.
