Jimbo Fisher believes Texas A&M is close to a national championship, and if the Aggies can finish the deal, the reward would be fitting for a loyal fan base.
Fisher on Thursday spoke to the 12th Man, and said Aggie fans are, “the most loyal group of people in the world, and y’all deserve that.”
Fisher, of course, has drawn headlines in recent weeks for his reaction to name, image and likeness developments. This time, he called on Congress to step in, and offer some regulation to a system that he believes should include player compensation.
In terms of recruiting overall, Fisher said Texas A&M is a tremendous place to sell, and him being in College Station was a 40-year decision.
Jimbo Fisher on NIL: “It’s here to stay, and there is nothing that is going to be done about it for a couple of years.”
Fisher calls upon Congress to do something about it: “Player should get something, no doubt, but there should be some kind of regulation.”
