Myles Garrett, former Texas A&M standout, became the all-time sack leader for the Cleveland Browns during their Week 6 tilt with the New England Patriots.

The 2 sacks brought Garrett’s season total to 5, and his career total to 63.5. The previous record-holder was Clay Matthews Jr., who collected 62 sacks over his 232 games with the Browns.

Garrett accomplished the feat in about 150 fewer games than Matthews, cementing his place in Cleveland history. Garrett is now 1 1/2 sacks ahead of the 2nd-place Matthews and 12 ahead of 3rd-place Michael Dean Perry.

Garrett had a successful 3-year career for Texas A&M, where he collected 32.5 sacks, good for 6th all-time in Aggie history.

Garrett’s big day was not enough to get Cleveland the win. The Browns fell to the New England Patriots by a score of 38-15.
