The Spurs are proud to call Kellen Mond a native son of San Antonio.
The organization proved that recently as the NBA franchise presented the recent NFL draft pick with a ceremonial Spurs jersey during an appearance at a game.
The record-breaking Texas A&M quarterback was recently selected with the 66th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft by the Minnesota Vikings after setting the following records in College Station: career passing touchdowns (71), passing yards (9,661), completions (801), attempts (1,358) and total offense (11,269).
Mond also tied Johnny Manziel in all-time Texas A&M touchdowns after scoring 93 during his college career. The two Aggies signal-callers are tied for 10th all-time in SEC history in total touchdowns scored.
