Quinn Ewers, the No. 1 player in the 2021 recruiting class, announced he was transferring from Ohio State this week.
Ewers is a Texas native, so the big Texas schools, including the Texas Longhorns and Texas A&M Aggies, were expected to be in the mix for his services.
But, according to Texas A&M insiders, don’t expect Ewers to end up in College Station. Multiple reports state that the Aggies won’t pursue Ewers in the transfer portal:
Per multiple sources, there is no truth to the reports that Texas A&M will pursue Quinn Ewers out of the transfer portal.

Couple of people have confirmed to me what @R_Brauninger reported first: A&M isn’t pursuing former Ohio State QB Quinn Ewers. They’re more than happy with Conner Weigman and don’t want any disruptions to the 2022 class.

As those reports state, the Aggies are expected to stick with 5-star 2022 QB Conner Weigman. He is the No. 21 overall player, the No. 2 quarterback and the No. 7 recruit from Texas in the 2022 class, per the 247 Sports composite rankings.
We’ll see where Ewers ends up next, but it seems he won’t be heading to College Station for the next stop in his collegiate career.
