Texas A&M on Sunday saw its highest-rated player in the 2025 recruiting class flip to the Big Ten.
Husan Longstreet had been committed to the Aggies since April, eventually taking an official visit to College Station in May. After an unofficial visit to USC on Saturday for its game against Nebraska, though, the Southern California product decided to stay close to home, flipping his pledge to the Trojans.

According to 247Sports’ composite rankings, Longstreet is the No. 6 quarterback in the class of 2025, the No. 34 player in the country, and the No. 2 player in California.
His decision to flip to the Trojans set off a chain reaction: Julian Lewis, a fellow 5-star quarterback, reopened his recruitment as a result.
The Aggies’ 2025 class is still ranked No. 10 in the country even after Longstreet’s departure. But he was the only quarterback committed to them in the cycle, so it will be interesting to see which direction Mike Elko goes from here — whether he looks to add a player via the transfer portal when the season ends or looks to land another recruit.
