Texas A&M quickly turned the tide of its game against South Carolina. After trailing 7-0 in the first quarter, the Aggies have responded to make the scoreline read 21-7.

They did so thanks to 2 quick scores that occurred within a minute of each other late in the first half.

The first was a 1-yard touchdown run from Amari Daniels to give TAMU its first lead of the day.

Then, after South Carolina quickly punted, Ainias Smith diced up the Gamecock defense on the first play on the ensuing drive. The 42-yard touchdown reception included multiple South Carolina defenders flying across the field, none of which were successful in taking down Smith.

Smith leads the Aggies with 77 receiving yards and a touchdown in this game, while Daniels now has 6 carries for 19 yards and a score.

The Aggies claim a 21-7 lead over the Gamecocks at halftime. If the score holds, TAMU would move to 5-3 (3-2), while South Carolina would drop to 2-6 (1-5).
