They aren’t leather helmets, but they’re pretty darn close.
Texas A&M will debut Adidas’ new TECHFIT throwback uniforms on Saturday against Louisiana-Monroe, a creative 1939-style set featuring a matte maroon helmet with leather-like stitched graphics, rust-colored facemask clamps and weathered cleats.

A new patch will be included on the jersey honoring Texas A&M’s 1939 national championship team.
The Aggies have given Adidas free reign over its uniform template this season, debuting a couple other unique combinations including the ‘Iced Out’ whites.
