Trevor Knight says he feels able to return from shoulder injury against LSU
Trevor Knight’s rehab might be ahead of schedule.
The Texas A&M quarterback told reporters Monday that he “feels like he could go” against LSU on Thursday, despite earlier indications that his shoulder injury would keep him out for the rest of the regular season. His playing status, however, is ultimately up to team doctors.

The Thanksgiving clash doubles as senior day, which would mark Knight’s final chance to play in College Station. He has only played for the Aggies this season after transferring from Oklahoma, but he will no doubt receive a standing ovation Thursday.
Knight helped Texas A&M climb as high as No. 4 in the College Football Playoff rankings before the team entered a late-season tailspin. It started with an upset loss at Mississippi State on Nov. 5, during which he sustained the shoulder injury.
If the dual-threat Knight can play, it could go a long way toward restoring some shine to the Aggies’ once-promising season and cooling off coach Kevin Sumlin’s quickly warming seat.
