Vols getting head start on eventual meltdown? Tennessee fans frustrated at halftime of Auburn game
By SDS Staff

Considering Tennessee entered the Auburn game riding a four-game losing streak, the Vols’ ability to jump out to a 10-point lead against No. 23 Tigers was a surprise.
As any true Tennessee fan could tell you, that wasn’t going to last.
While the Vols got creative early in the game and looked the part of a contender, the offense went into a shell in the second quarter and Auburn’s offense found its groove on the way to tying the game at 10 at halftime.
At this point, it just feels like Tennessee is hoping to hold on for dear life against the Tigers.
Despite the strong start in the game, Tennessee’s offense has been bearing the brunt of fans’ criticism:
Big Question: What is Tennessee’s offensive staff and personnel doing during a long drive when they aren’t on field? Communicating? Planning? I’m not trying to be a smart ass. I’m legit curious.

Hell, it's never the 1st half we have to worry about. It's always the 2nd half when teams open up a can on us. The opposition makes halftime adjustments and we usually stay stuck on stupid. #Vols

Tennessee has talent but Pruitt needs to make a move at OC. Hiring Jim Chaney is never a good idea

Tennessee has no interest in trying to score at the end of the half. Playing safe doesn’t work and Pruitt’s clock management is horrific. #moreofthesame #boring #noimagination #Vols
