Former Tennessee WR Walker Merrill transfers to ACC team

Former Tennessee wide receiver Walker Merrill is headed to the ACC.
Wake Forest announced Thursday via Twitter that it was adding Merrill as a signee.

Over the past season, Merrill totaled 8 receptions for the Volunteers with 116 yards and t3 touchdowns. The rising junior also tallied 5 receptions as a true freshman in 2021.
According to Pro football Focus, his finishing receiving grade was 73.9. He also only had a single drop on the season, something that will bode well for the Demon Deacons offense moving forward. It will be interesting to watch where he ultimately lands on the depth chart and how much he rises moving forward with a change of scenery.
