Shuler will have 4 years of eligibility at Tennessee after spending 2 seasons at App State. Shuler did not record any statistics with the Mountaineers. The NCAA issued a waiver that the 2020 college football season did not count against players’ 4-in-5 eligibility window due to the COVID-related circumstances that fall.
As a recruit, Shuler was a 3-star prospect on the 247Sports Composite, which lists 13 scholarship offers, including Duke and Wake Forest.
Shuler’s announcement notes he will be the fifth member of the family to play for the Vols. Navy’s father Heath Shuler played for Tennessee from 1991-93, setting numerous UT passing records that would later be broken by Peyton Manning.
Words can’t describe….So proud. Love you son!! https://t.co/DsPxEXdQZ6
