Fans wrecked Jeremy Pruitt for his postgame comments after Tennessee’s loss to Auburn

Tennessee fans seem to be growing more impatient with Jeremy Pruitt with each Saturday. That’s because the Vols have lost 5 games in a row in historic fashion.
However, a couple things Pruitt said during his postgame press conference also irked fans, too.
Pruitt was asked about his message to fans who question the direction of the Vols program.
“That ain’t my job, guys. My job is to coach,” Pruitt said bluntly. “If you want to ask me a football question, ask me a football question.”
The Tennessee head coach was then asked about his comfort level with offensive coordinator Jim Chaney.
“I don’t know, did you watch the game? We had more yards than they did,” Pruitt said. “So I don’t know if there was inconsistency or not there.”
Obviously, yards don’t equal points in college football, but Pruitt wasn’t too interested in discussing that aspect.
Tennessee fans took exception to those 2 comments and then took to social media to air their frustration with the head coach.
It’s shocking how far this guy is in over his head https://t.co/BakHya1Fi5

Oh my holy mother of crap. Another priceless quote. Our head coach doesn’t understand that total yards does not mean you scored more points. https://t.co/KRHhVuPjha

Sorry, Coach. Didn’t see that on the scoreboard. https://t.co/srxQTLA78C

Ooooook this comment might be enough for me to jump off the Pruitt train…
Second half adjustments this season have been horrid, hence our second half point differential.
Coach better, and people don’t ask these questions man. Tone deaf response. https://t.co/hjROM7Sfrk
