Vol Twitter reacts to Tennessee’s hire of UCF coach Josh Heupel

Josh Heupel is headed to Rocky Top and Vol Twitter isn’t sure how to feel about it.
There are plenty of fans that hate it, some that support it, but either way, they will all have to live with it for the 2021 season as UCF has officially become a feeder program for Tennessee.
Of course, last week, Tennessee lured AD Danny White from UCF and less than a week later, he turned around and hired Heupel to run the football program in Knoxville three years after hiring Heupel to run the program in Orlando.
Heupel went 28-8 in his three seasons at UCF and brings a modern offense that should rejuvenate that side of the ball for the Vols immediately considering the quarterback talent in Knoxville entering spring football.
Needless to say, the reaction has been a bit mixed to this hire.

You never even reach out to Kiffin, Freeze or Chadwell. You let it come down to money over Franklin and you pay $6 million in buyout dollars for UCF’s AD & coach? Absolute & utter incompetence. I feel sorry for Tennessee fans to have to deal with 15 years of this.
