Things are rough on Rocky Top as Tennessee has hit a four-game losing skid following a promising start that stretched the Vols’ winning streak at the time to eight games. But that hasn’t changed the outlook on the program for one of the Vols’ prized recruits.

Terrence Lewis, a 5-star linebacker, has tweeted multiple times in recent days about the Vols struggles, and how he plans to help. Lewis committed to Tennessee in April, and is ranked the No. 1 outside linebacker in America, according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He is from Opa Locka, Florida (Miami Central).

He is a big reason why Tennessee has the No. 5 recruiting class for the class of 2021.

A one-time Florida commit, Lewis has 42 offers, was said to commit to the Vols over Miami. He’s 6-foot-1 and 200 pounds.

His 247Sports scouting report described him this way: “Has a lean build with no bad weight and long arms. Already has some muscle mass but should be able to tack on some more bulk at the college level. Looks like a high-end athlete and plays like it on Friday nights. Highly productive over his high school career to date as a high volume tackler who makes plays behind the line of scrimmage and in coverage.”

Here are his highlights from Hudl:
