Tennessee fans litter field with debris in embarrassing fashion at end of Ole Miss game

With 54 seconds remaining, and despite having 3 timeouts, Tennessee fans became so upset that a ruling on fourth down went against the Vols that they threw trash on the field, including a golf ball and a mustard bottle.
Tennessee’s cheerleaders and dance team left the field, as water bottles and debris went well on to the field. The Tennessee band also left as game and school officials met on the field to discuss the situation.
The game was delayed for more than 20 minutes as on-field game officials deferred to game management to sort out the issues.
Here’s a sampling of some of the reaction:

Ugly scene in Knoxville with fans throwing all sorts of stuff at the Ole Miss team on the sideline, including a golf ball in the direction of Lane Kiffin.

Y’all don’t believe me when I tell you Tennessee football fans frustration is at a different level than anywhere else. It is at an entirely different level than you guys can understand.

Schools have been fined hundreds of thousands for rushing the field.
Tennessee should get hammered for this. It may be the students fault, but this is a black mark on the school and the SEC. https://t.co/ILbbfRraqO
