Tennessee fans once again clamor for Hugh Freeze after Liberty’s big bowl victory

The Liberty Flames handed Coastal Carolina its first loss of the 2020 season on Saturday night in the Cure Bowl, winning the game with a blocked field goal in overtime.
Liberty coach Hugh Freeze was connected to a number of jobs this offseason, including South Carolina and Auburn in the SEC. With this win, he’s an even hotter candidate.
On Rocky Top, things aren’t going so well for the Tennessee Volunteers. Though it seems Jeremy Pruitt will be returning for the 2021 season, fans aren’t necessarily happy about that.
Thus, it was no surprise to see many Vol fans clamor for Freeze to come to Knoxville in the aftermath of Saturday’s exciting game:
We want @CoachHughFreeze in Knoxville

If @phillipfulmer wants this program to be successful he fires Pruitt and goes and gets Hugh Freeze. The man is such a passionate coach, if you give him his dream job that passion will go through the roof! He will come here and win immediately. Make the move Coach Fulmer!

The university of Tennessee is stupid asf for not firing Pruitt and going after Hugh Freeze. They made the same mistake in 2005 by keeping Fulmer and not pursuing Nick Saban??♂️?

The next time a Hugh Freeze player smokes a cigar it’ll be in Bryant Denny stadium https://t.co/jcFXmtvlZd

Again, Tennessee still has a coach, so nothing will happen until Pruitt is fired. Could that happen soon, or will Pruitt and the Vols turn things around in 2021?
