The Tennessee Volunteers finally start conference play on Saturday, and it comes in the form of one of their most hated rivals, the Florida Gators.

While the matchup features new coaches and players, they all understand that this is one of the SEC’s most storied rivalries … even the true freshmen.

Tennessee running back Jeremy Banks started the trash talk on Monday, when he posted a photo with Florida receiver Jacob Copeland from a recruiting visit on his Instagram story, with the caption, “We coming for ya neck this week slime!!! You should’ve joined us.”

According to 247Sports, Copeland committed to Florida on 2018’s National Signing Day, Tennessee and Florida were among his final three schools. Copeland has previously decommitted from Florida and took an official visit to Tennessee, but he ended up re-committing.

His commitment on live T.V. was a memorable one, as some of his family members including his mother were seen wearing Tennessee gear even though Copeland decided to put on the Florida hat.

It’s good to see even the freshmen are jumping in the trash talk ahead of this rivalry, Saturday night in Neyland Stadium is setting up to be a good one.
