Tennessee slapped with big SEC fine over fans throwing trash on field

Tennessee fans weren’t happy with the officiating on Saturday night against Ole Miss.
Many in the packed crowd at Neyland Stadium took to throwing trash on the field after a late 4th-down call didn’t go the Vols’ way.
There have been plenty of statements issued by the SEC and Tennessee officials after the incident. And, on Monday, it was revealed that the Vols had been fined $250,000 for interrupting the game:

That’s a big fine. Tennessee officials have said they will work with police to identify those who took part in the trash throwing.
Whether or not there will be future consequences for the school remains to be seen.
