Game 3 of the Hattiesburg Super Regional will be played eventually. We think.
The Vols and Golden Eagles have faced their share of weather delays this week, and mother nature refused to budge Monday evening. Over an hour before first pitch, both teams announced that the game has been delayed due to expected inclement weather in Hattiesburg.
Radar reports indicate that the rain will have moved on by 9 p.m. ET. Obviously, this can change quickly.
Tonight’s start has been delayed due to weather, a new start time is still TBD. Updates will be communicated when they are available. #GBO // #OTH // #BeatUSM

Tennessee failed to make it to Omaha last season but has an excellent shot to make it to the group of 8 whenever Monday’s game starts.
The Vols won Game 2 Sunday to force a winner-take-all matchup today. The Vols will be designated as the home team and will have more arms readily available after Chase Dollander’s herculean performance Sunday.
The real question for Tennessee lies on offense. The Vols’ bats came alive when it was most needed Sunday and will need that momentum to carry into Monday night if the weather does indeed diffuse by 9.
