WATCH: Tennessee honors star OL Trey Smith at basketball game

It was an awful year for the Tennessee football program, as the Vols went 0-8 in SEC play.
However, there were a few bright spots, and freshman OL Trey Smith was one of them, earning Freshman All-American honors for his outstanding play.
As you can see in the video below, shared on Twitter by @Vol_Football, Smith was honored at Saturday’s basketball game:

Though the Vols have a lot of work to do to become SEC East contenders under new coach Jeremy Pruitt, having Smith is a big piece for their offensive line.
Heading into the 2018 season, we’ll have to see if Smith can drop the “freshman” and simply earn All-American honors.
