Vanderbilt’s Week 0 matchup against Hawaii will be played under the careful watch of a few excavator cranes.
And despite a storm system entering the area causing the stadium to be evacuated, the scoreboard is currently being held up by a few of those cranes. As for the storm, no announcement has been made on the game’s kickoff time of 7:30 p.m. ET.
Lightning has been detected within an 8-mile radius of FirstBank Stadium. The stadium has currently been evacuated.
We encourage fans to exercise safety and seek shelter. We will provide updates as they become available.

It’s probably been lowered by now, but this seems incredibly safe and not at all sketchy seemingly minutes away from some high winds. Even when the game eventually starts, this is certainly a look:
Looks like Vanderbilt just made an adjustment to the scoreboard, was blowing in the wind a little bit but was brought down and isn’t moving as much now.
