Vanderbilt lands commitment from 2023 guard, top prospect from state of Tennessee

Vanderbilt lost star Scotty Pippen Jr. to the NBA this offseason, so coach Jerry Stackhouse and the Commodores will try to rebuild.
On Wednesday, the Commodores got a huge win on the recruiting trails, scoring their first player from the 2023 recruiting class.
As you can see below, 3-star guard Isaiah West, the No. 1 2023 recruit from the state, announced he was staying home:

Per the 247Sports composite rankings, West is the No. 23 combo guard in the class of 2023 and the No. 1 overall recruit from the state of Tennessee.
